Getting started
Contents of a terminal set
Each Verifone P630-A terminal is boxed with:
- Power pack
- USB Type C cable
- Ethernet Cable
Set-up procedure
Power the terminal on and off
- Unscrew the back cover of the terminal.
- Remove the back cover of the terminal by sliding the panel it in the direction indicated by the arrow on the back plate.
- Plug the power cable into the port at the back of the terminal.
- Re-attach the cover.
- Insert the AC power cable into a wall outlet or power board.
Turn on the terminal
Press and hold the power button (located on the left-hand side of the terminal) for approximately 3 seconds until the start-up screen appears.
NOTE: Ensure the terminal is connected to a power source before trying to turn it on.
Turn off the terminal
- Press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds.
- Tap the on-screen ‘Power off’ button.
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to force the terminal to turn off.

Use the navigation keys at the bottom of the terminal for quick navigation.

Quick settings panel
Quick settings icons
To access the ‘Quick Settings’ panel from any screen other than some payment screens, swipe down from the Navigation bar for quick access to notification cards, settings, and more.
To close the panel, swipe up from the bottom of the screen or tap the screen below the panel.
For other quick settings:

| Turn a setting on or off | Tap the specific quick setting icon. |

| Adjust screen brightness | Be in ‘Expanded’ view. At the top of the panel move the screen brightness slider to adjust brightness. |
| Add or remove shortcuts to the Quick Settings panel | Tap the ‘Edit’ icon. |
